Islands is the debut feature from Filipino-Canadian filmmaker Martin Edralin, who wrote, directed, and produced the film. Based in Toronto, Edralin is an alumnus of TIFF Filmmaker Lab ’19 and TIFF Studio ’18, and his short film Emma was named to TIFF’s Canada’s Top Ten list in 2016.
